Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. When you visit, the server records technically necessary data such as your IP address, the date and time, the page requested and your browser type, and keeps it in log files for no more than 56 days. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, the legitimate interest in running the site securely and reliably. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the provider.

Fonts, cookies and analytics

The fonts used are stored on the site's own server, so no connection to a font provider is made when a page loads. The website sets no cookies, uses no analytics or tracking tools and embeds no third-party content. The link to LinkedIn is a plain link: data is sent to LinkedIn only if you click it, and LinkedIn's own privacy policy applies.

Getting in touch

If you email me, I process your details to answer your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where the enquiry concerns pre-contractual steps, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. I delete the data once the enquiry is dealt with, unless a statutory retention duty applies.

Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21). You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach.
